I know it's kind of a vague question but how much will the stock bottom end hold? I'm needing a engine rebuild and I keep looking at stroker kits, new short blocks, Long blocks etc, but I may not need any of that stuff. I'm sure all I really need is rings and a valve job but I don't want to do a rebuild with the stock stuff and be living with a ticking time bomb. My car has a 2.7? upper, bbk long tubes, accufab s/b tb etc with a bigger maf, 60lb inj & 4lb lower, ported heads and ported blower to come. So I expect power to be between 490-520...
Is a stock rebuild safe with this other crap?

Stock bottom end "general consensus" on the net is 750hp with a twin screw. A lot more with a turbo.

why can the motor handle more with a turbo? Sorry if this is a dumb question

Because turbo is easier on the motor. Because twin screw build boost much faster. no lad like a turbo. Plus it takes more energy to turn a super charger then it does to turn a turbo.I Hope I kinda answered your question. I'm sure fellow svtp members can explain it better than me.
