I am just curious, I just got my boost gauge installed and all I am reading is 14 psi. I have a 6lb lower and an airaid. Is the stock boost 8psi or 10 psi.

i would think that it is peged out so it wouldent really be reading right.stock truck reads like 8 to 9 lb of boost if you add a 2# that means 10# the stock guage only goes to 10#.

I just got an lunar guage from Autometer. So I am guessing that it is correct. For some odd reason I thought stock boost was 10psi in a 2001.

I have an 01 and my gauge reads above 10. I didn't buy it new, but it has all the factory pulleys and only a K&N drop in, which I'm sure doesn’t add 2+lbs of boost.

Before with my bassani c/b and kn drop in the autometer gauge was reading at ~10psi.(in the cool weather we are having now) Since i installed the JLP intake(just did a couple hours ago) the gauge goes up to ~10.5-11psi.

Sub 40 degree temps will cause the an Autometer gauge to read another 1-2lbs if you have a CAI. The stock gauge is crap and doesn't read correctly.
