thinking about ditching my 6 cylinder for a 99 cobra if i find the right one. was just wondering what you guys ran stock in the 1320. i saw a dyno sheet of a 99 with intake and full exhaust and he only made 270 at the wheels. seems alittle week to me arent they suppsed to push 320 to the crank?

given 18% loss from the driveline, 270rwhp sounds about right for stock at least.... I'm over that with just a catback and pulley
not "week" at all. you're buddy's prob needs new fuel filter

I would like to know that as well!

My best with my stock 01 was 13.7 @ 103.7......I only ran it a couple of times though.

Never confuse a 99 with an 01. Two totally different cars "stock".

Read this:

This should help.

By the way, my best "stock" 1/8 was 8.8 @83 mph

Jeff...i must say your dick's loose...LOL

my 99 bone stock ran faster than 8.8 in the 1/8...i ran a best of 8.75 in it...
my 01 did beat that by a tenth though....

i bet your 04 doesn't do much better than your 01 did stock!! LOL

I dunno, but I know he did it. One hell of a driver I guess. I think his sixty foot was 2.0 or 2.1. Maybe the car is just a freak.

Talking about someone's dick being loose!! You know that 99 of yours never saw anything south of 9.3s!! The only way you could have run 8.8 in a bone stock (i.e. no "fix") 99 would be down hill!! LOL

You read my post with the link in it. Ford messed up on the 99s, admitted it, and made it right in '01. Fact of the matter is, the 01 was superior to the 99 and your 8.8, if you did run that was a fluke and I know for a fact that was not consistant EVERY time you had it on the track. The mph was lucky to be 80! LOL!!

From all accounts I've seen, a "fixed" 99 and the 01 are the same performance wise.
