So yeah last night im driving and i notice whenever i shift gears and the clutch is in it doesn't drop below 1700 RPMS for a good while, much longer than it takes to shift gears. Also when in N it goes from whatever i shift from to about 1700 for a good 3 full seconds, then to 1200 for a few seconds then to normal idle, whats this sound like?

mine does the same every now and then. usually if i burp the throttle just a bit it goes down to normal idle. i would like to know what causes this as well.
^ yeah thats another thing whenever i rev it goes away, i think its a vacuum leak, just a small one.
do you guys have aftermarket throttle bodies
factory t/b here.
aftermarket tbs do seem to cause problems like that,i had a similar problem with my 96 gt
Check the voltage on your TPS sensor. A vaccuum leak could cause this as well.
