Are you talking about the two cables hanging from the ceiling on the inboard side of the pilots? If so, that’s for the HUD. While there is a day HUD and night HUD, most only wear the HUD with NVG’s.


Didn’t realize they used them for HUD! Most of the time they are attached to pylons with a munition attached on the other end.

Probably a standard cannon plug type deal then, but those are definitely how the display connects to the main computer, and are quick disconnect like you mentioned for quick egress.
