spun the rear end housing race

The rear end started howling bad so I brought it to the mechanic and he said the race spun and the housing is grooved up pretty bad. List for a new one is $900:fm: Luckily I'm a dealer so my cost is $415. Why are these damn cars always breaking!!?? I put new gears and motives bearing kit in last summer.WTF

Did the same thing, oddly enough the FRPP 8.8 IRS housing is listed cheaper than the stock Ford replacement part. Think I paid something like $385 for the FRPP part.
