Speedcal removal question

Quick question the speedcal was in my car when I bought it a few years ago since then I got a tune and SCT x4 can I remove the speedcal? If so can I just cut it out?

My initial answer is yes, you can cut it out. I've never dealt with it though.

yeah I cut one out of my old mach 1 when I tuned it.
