Speed shifting = *skip/rattle/blah.....*

I have a STOCK 88 GT, Last night I tried shifting the ol girl pretty hard. hit 2nd gear hard and the car popped, skipped and valves rattled... After about 10sec the car cleared up and seemed fine. Not sure what to make of it other than maybe the knock sensor... :beer:

U sure u hit second gear and that ur rev limiter didn't kick in

Yeah, I hit second.. The car was still pulling but skipping and valves were rattling. I slammed second hard I know But I've never had that happen on any other car. I dont go around speed shifting all day but I would love to know what the problem is.

Try to duplicate again if it doesn't happen then ur good if it does check ur fluid levels

Done it twice.. I may try to get a video of it tonight. Thanks for the help.

Get some video make sure windows are down so we an hear it good get a buddy to ride with and video it

I'll have to get my buddy to ride with me and video it for me. Thanks for your input! It's not a real big deal but I'll be ordering my turbo kit soon and want all the bugs worked out first. Sounds like the timming is going through the roof and I dont want those problems after the install. Thanks again
