hey guys, like the title says, I want to convert my mustang from speed density to mass air. Does anyone know what all parts I will need? I'm not looking to buy a kit but pick up what I can from my junkyard. So if anyone can help it would be apreciated.
thanks,
Joel

U will need. If I rember correctly .
A9 computer.. number mat be diff.but a mass air computer.

A mass air.(pro m or equal)or stock.

Pig tall from mass air car. 89-93. I believe the sn95 are a little diff plug.

Change the pin layout on harness at the computer.

My brother in law did it to my brothers cause we wanted to stay fuel injected.

This is from a 88 coupe.

And what are you calling a pigtail? Is that the wires coming off the mass air sensor?

The harness end.. basically cut the plug off a junk yard mustang mass air harness.

As for as the pin changing. Its just pulling wires out of the plug at the computer. And placing them in diff spots. Sorda a pain but not bad.

Does the 88 have the plugin for a mass air sensor already on it?
And is there a diagram on where the writes go in the plug?

Depends on what your plan for the car is. If you want to keep it stock except for a few bolt-ons I wouldn't mess with it. If your doing heads and cam etc then yes.

Depending on your plans to do this swap, I should have a computer, maf for 24lbs injectors, sct chip for sale next month. I guess you could say I'm converting my car to speed density. I'm switching to the mega squirt 2 plug in play.
