Thanks guys

wow good work man, I wish I knew how to do stuff like this

Thanks. If you ever need work done, PM me brutha. I'm not too far from you. I'm about one hour north of Baltimore.

man those 1/4 window moldings turned out great! what did you use on them filler primer?

Looks good. Thanks for sharing. Can you please explain the 1/4 window moulding treatment steps?

Thanks. Different terms for different folks but the most common terms are "spot glazing" and "glaze putty".

This is a 10 minute video online that is very helpful IMO. Take the time to listen to EVERYTHING he says before jumping to the actual repairing footage. Something he doesn't mention that you should be aware of are the drying times. You don't want to start sanding that stuff too early or you'll end up with a mess and feel like :mj: This link will take you to other links he's done, good stuff.

Some more progress. Rather than make the jambs the same color I wanted to make more contrast with the red roll cage and make the jambs, window trim, and wheels the same color (not gloss black but not flat black, but in the middle). Yep, the wheel paint will match the trim and jambs.

One side before

Other side after (roll cage is covered, untouched with paint). The exterior paint is not going black...

Any reason you didn't remove the quarter glass, fascias, hood, etc. (aside from saving time)?

When we did mine, I took everything off and although it's a lot more work, I was happy I did. It's amazing the things you find (at least with northern Midwest cars).

That's the same thing I did to my 1/4 mouldings.... looked good for a month then they started to peel
