I live in Northern California and I love it here. (And couldn't sell my house to save my life because of the housing market!) I spend a lot of time in SoCal, everywhere from LA to Hollywood to Irvine to San Diego. It's gotten to the point where I'm tired of crashing on friend's couches and hotel rooms. Time to buy a condo.

I'm looking for a one bedroom condo with space for a "home office" - and a garage. I'd also like someplace quiet and "safe". Price is not much of a problem.

Where should I start looking?

Do you have a specific location in mind?

I looked at a two bdrm. townhouse last weekend in Playa del Rey. It had an ocean and Marina view and was priced at 1.85 million. Or you could get the same building, but in Morongo Valley for 118K:shrug:

Location, location, location.

how much do you wanna spend? playa del ray and marina del ray are very nice.
and where do you want to be? LA? OC? SD? orange county is in between both but prolly the most expensive, plus the more coastal you get the higher the prices go
