tonight i went to the track for the first time on "real" tires, or at least more real than bald nitto dr's :24: , anywho, best (1/8th mile) was a 8.25 @ 85.04, backed it up with a 8.26 @ 84.8

*edit* tires were 275/40/17 mt et street radials on stock mach wheels

mods are

power mods - o/r bassani x, spintech mufflers, k&n drop in filter :smokin:

other stuff, mgw shifter, 4.10's, superior axles, 31 spline ford carrier

anywho, car's full weight aside from no spare, i know i have a lot more potential, my best 60' was a 1.77, or 1.80, lowering springs dont help i take it.... anywho, i had a blast, looking on some feedback on where to go from here, not sure on the "da" the track usually around 1k feet though

Look's like a good trap speed. What did Your 60 ft look like?

high 7's is my goal, anything done suspension wise? weight reduction? know the track da? the da was a little high that night, but i'm going back next thursday to see if i can knock a tenth or two off, the lowering springs are killing my 60'

get ride of the dr's and get some et streets, they work better on a 5 speed cause they can take the shock of the tires a lot better then a DR can, they suspension piece that i have is rear Qa1 shocks and rear seat delete

Those tires perform so close to the ET Street's that You probably would'nt gain more than a few hundred's of a second by switching tires. Not trying to bash anyone but those ET DR's are the best out there. Should be able to cut some 1.70's with a little practice.

That 8.12 is a mid 12 in 1/4. I went 8.14 in my 97 cobra and ran 12.60 at 112 on bfg dr's. 275/50/15's. 1.86 60'. That was N/A with bolt ons at 3300lbs. Keep practicing and you'll have that thing runnin low 12's. Those cars got so much more torque than the older cobras. Friend of mine with bolt ons and a shot of gas ( not sure how much cause he aint talkin ) runs low 11's, high 10's at mid 120's. On motor he runs low 12's.
