Mach 1 owners do not suffer identity crises as Cobra Mustang owners. Our cars are simply the most unique and best looking new edge Mustangs ever built complete with factory "R" VINs. Mach 1 owners spend lots of time fielding questions and compliments while Cobra Mustang owners go unnoticed because their cars look so much like V6s. Yelling, "It's not a GT, it's a Termi!!!" doesn't seem to help. Neither does installing $5,000 wheels with tractor-sized tires. It's still a Mustang that looks just like the cheapest secretary model. And, it's not even a real Cobra. Real Cobras were English roadsters with Shelby installed drive trains. Price did not determine my choice of Mustang. By 2004 no adult wanted to be associated with the Cobra Mustang crowd.
