I have been trying to get a new Stang since 2010 when the 5.0 came out. I am on my 3rd new car in 4 years (I get board with non-Mustang vehicles) and due at first to lack of credit and followed by New England winters and the loss of a garage spot when I moved my dream car keeps eluding me. I have had 5 prior Stangs and have been lost for 4 years since my last one. I am currently driving a 2013 F150 5.0. It's cool but still not what I want. I just moved to Florida so now I can finally drive one all year round! Also, I work for a massive dealer down here and get a great discount and D plan. I can get about $6000 or more off MSRP! I have only had the truck for a few months so I had them run a value today with my fingers crossed. Unfortunately because I have changed cars so much I have good credit but no equity. I am WAY upside down ($10,000) on my truck. So once again no Mustang for me for a while. I almost hope someone smashes into me and totals it if nobody would get hurt (gap coverage). I guess I will just have to work my ass off for a while to get my head above water on my loan. Oh well. Better luck next year I guess.

with it being a truck you are going to be under water for like 3 years. Be smart and wait for the right time which is when you have equity.

Yeah, these cars aren't that great, quit making bad financial decisions and keep the truck for a while. You're $10k underwater? Jesus. No car is worth that.

You seem like someone with poor money management skills and impulse control. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for judging me. I'm sure some day I could be perfect like you. BTW my first new car loan apr was 21.9%, my second was 9.9% and my truck is 5.7% so was I really displaying "poor money management skills"? I thought I was building credit (550 when I started and now about 700) but your right! I'm sure that 2010 Focus would have held is value and I wouldn't be in the whole at all at 21.9%. :bored:

Impulse control? I was driving a ****ing Focus because at the time that was all I could get (550 credit score). I then got into a base model Jeep Wrangler 2 door due to sheer closterfobia (I'm not a small guy) and 21.9% APR on a car plummeting in value. Then we decided to move to Florida. We knew we were driving down and towing a trailer. The plan was to do it in the Jeep at first. The problem was space and the fact that the stiff suspension made my wife sick. Also, we would be sharing one vehicle until we got established here and the Jeep was a stick. I tried teaching her to drive it but long story short... no dice. At that point I could have been a total selfish asshole and bought myself a Mustang. It just didn't make sense. I am glad I bought the truck. It made the trip a lot easier and we had some bad blizzards and snow storms last winter. I knew I would be upside down for a while but they are telling me my truck is only worth $25,500 ($11,000 under MSRP) on trade in. I think part of that is from being here instead of up north. I was hoping that having the 5.0 would be enough to quench my Mustang thirst but I love modding and I just don't want to put money into something I know I am going to get out of asap. It's just not what I love. I know that I need to wait for a bit. I just don't want to.

You must be perfect to coposrv. A lot of that going on here. When was it that I asked for peoples opinions on finance? :dw: I'm like 4 payments in on my truck. I'm supposed to be dead even on my loan? You guys must be millionaires.

Welcome to South Florida! Whenever you get down on the lack of a mustang, just look at the weather report up north and smile.... obviously more so between Nov and March. Now you can just prepare to perspire.... a lot.

The Stang will happen, just wait for the right one at the right time.

How far South did you come?

Nope, he's right and not judging you. It's calling a spade a spade.

You said yourself you get bored with cars easily. 3 new cars in 4 years is retarded if you're financing them. Praise The Lord you're not the head of my household. You went upside down to "build credit"? Yeah you sure do have a great plan.

You should call Dave Ramsey and get his take on it.

Really? I thought they were band in Dade County? That's why I'm in Broward. Thanks, he is an awesome dog. He unfortunitly had a stroke last summer and is paralyzed from the waste down. He has regained some functionality but still can't walk on his own. He's happy though. That's all that matters. And yes, they are the BEST BREED!

Yea, I'm not worried about what a bunch of people that don't know me or my situation think. It just pisses me off when people give their opinion when they aren't even asked.

They are banned here...its a long story, but if you stay away from complaints and your dog is behaved, then you should be okay. The enforcement of the law is fairly complaint based. Its an absurd law that was written by a bunch of uneducated (dog wise) jackass's.

Take that thing to mexico ,deep into that shit hole. They will figure a way to steal it or just strip it.

Report it stolen insurance pays what its worth and gap pays the difference.

If it will eat away at your consince ?then your stuck with it for at least 2 to 3 years
