will the s-197 rear gear set work in my stock cobra 8.8? reason I am asking is I want to trade my friend with a 2006 gt his 4.30's for my 3.73 gears will they swap alright?

Im assuming both yours and his are used? If so I would rather buy new then tryin to get used gears set up without noise. Just think about that before you spend time installing them or worse, paying for labor

even brand new gears can make noise.....its all about how their setup. If you can try to use the original shims to keep the same measurements throughout.
Yes of course any gear can make noise. Just because you are using the "original" shims does NOT mean it will seat the exact same in the different housing.
