Just wondering if its ok for the truck if I were to run a shorter belt and by-pass the smog pump without any adverse affects? Also, say I was going to the track, could I run an even shorter belt and by-pass the A/C and the other "Unneeded" accessories?

With the a/c it's a hassle, you'll have to remove everything (compressor, condensor, hoses, lines, etc.) and get a delete pulley. I believe it may be the same for bypassing the power steering to, but I'm not sure (if you REALLY wanna get rid of accessory drag) The smog is no problem though, it won't throw a code unless you're going to remove the egr as well. If you bypass the smog, you should just take the whole thing out and cap the lines, if you do a search on the nloc, you'll find everthing you need to know, except pictures
