small knob

Sorry if this is a dumb question but there is a small knob near the hand brake on the side of the cup holder and cannot figure out what it is for. It rotates left and right but I don't notice what it affects.

Are you the second owner of the car? Kinda sounds like a subwoofer volume knob that was left after the stereo / subwoofer was removed prior to selling.

Yeah im the second owner. That is possible as far as the subwofer but no evidence of any wiring or modification. I'll try to post a pic.

Ok found what it was. It was for the speaker system but everything was removed and left real clean except for the knob. I guess he did not want to leave just a hole. Thanks all for the input.
