I'm looking into a mid-pipe back exhaust for my 97 Cobra and have a few simpler questions to get me started.

First, if I want to keep the stock manifolds can I go with a 2.5" mid-pipe/catback without a problem or will I need an adapter of some sort in the connection from manis to mid pipe?

Second, I understand that if I go catless, my car will throw a CEL. Where can I find good cheap mil eliminators and how hard are they to install?

Thanks.

Yes, you can go with 2.5" all the way without needing any adapter. It will bolt right up.

You can pick up a set of MIL eliminators from americanmuscle.com

Most aftermarket cat backs will bolt up with no problem. Mil's may be harder to come by I had heard the EPA was involved in getting the manufacturing of them stopped:shrug:
