Side scoop removal?

How hard is it to remove the side scoops? I assume the paint underneath would need a little work.

The FR500 look is what I'm going for. It didn't have any scoops at all. Check out the link for a pic:

I might do something like this later on (maybe). The Cobra scoops are obviously non-functional (as on all the mustangs) and it would be nice to tone them down a little. Actually, I'd like to remove them altogether too but it sounds like the bullitt scoops would work out better. That way you could return it back to the stock look if you wanted to.

I wonder how much and if I could order from my dealer and have their body shop (or whoever) paint match it to my car...

but then again, I want to be careful not to change the look of this car too much. after all, it is an 03 cobra. hmmm. decisions, decisions.

i have the bullit ones but i dont even know how to start it? I cant even tell if it pops off from the outside or if you have to go from the inside?
