That's a wide root. Finished landscaping looks great!

Yeah that one was a fun one, when it tore about 5 feet of edge trim out of the ground along with the root, I decided "to hell with it" and drug it up the driveway. All got put back in the end!

Turned out great. We did similar to some Schilling that were by the front entry walk and blocking the house. My kid and his buddy came over with his 4x4 and we ripped them out. They were a bitch. Ended up just doing grass there when I had the whole yard sodded.

I was really considering just doing stone and nothing else, after talking with my neighbor for a bit we decided on some low maintenance plant options that wouldn't get overgrown again. Those bushes I ripped out were probably about 30 years old, I've seen photos of the house from the early 90's and they were maybe a foot high. It took about 15 trips to the town dump to get rid of those things.
