Should I just give up and part this out?

I'm not getting any good hits on it, and I'd seriously thinking about parting it out. I'm wanting 6k, but the best offer I've gotten was 4.5k... What do yall think?

How much do you have it listed for?

What is the mileage?

What is the next closest/comparable GT on craigslist going for?

How much of your asking price is related to mods youre trying to make a return on?

If you have it listed high, that could be why. Id part out the mods and put it back up for $5-6k and it should move. 99-04 GTs are right in that ballpark these days. Even modded theyre not going for much more, so youll get a better return on mods alone and putting the car to stock than selling together.

EDIT

Nm read it wrong. Listed for $6k is about right. Should move as is but youll make more parting the mods out and selling as stock.

The car is light as hell. It weighs a little less than 3,200 lbs with a full tank of gas and w/ the back seat in.

Just turned 80k miles...
This is why it won't sell (hints the reasoning just to part it out...
It has a salvaged title
The latch failed and the hood came up and hit the roof a little. You can't see the damage unless someone tells you it is there.
The hood needs to be replaced
The front bumper needs to be replaced
The front end w/ the fenders need to be painted (the clear coat is peeling)

Well i sold a 2001 in 2011 that i was the original owner. PA front suspension setup rear for drag. full exhaust, with the normal bolt ons in the engine. 70k miles and i got $9k. wait it out or find a used car dealership that caters to modified cars and put it on their lot. it took me about a year but i got the price i was looking for.

No offense but when i look at that car it looks like a hack job to me. Holes in the trunk, cracked windshield, bumpers messed up, faded seats etc. All the good stuff is hidden under the car and not many people are gonna be able to overlook the exterior for $6k.

Part it out, I'm sure the market of salvaged titled GT's is pretty small.

This. Unless that car was superclean and built up right, not many people are going to shell out anywhere close to 6k for that. Should have taken the 4.5 and washed your hands.

How bad was the wreck that caused the salvage title?

Once you said, Salvaged Title, that was it for me. Around here cars will hardly sell with a salvaged title. If they do they are cheap. They are just such a hassle to get insurance, license and title for.
