I just totaled my rsx and im left with only a few grand and I was wondering if an svt contour would be bang for my buck. They look really nice and I hear they're pretty quick.

Is there anything I should look for. Anything I need to know?

ok, would I buy one if I was in the market, I sure would, but then again I drive three of the same car.

out of the box the power is decent, was a class leader when it came out in 98. The handling is great also, very european feeling. It was called the poor mans BMW. I suppose you can call it quick, I am sure it has more torque then a rsx but I am just guessing.

things to watch out for, 3rd gear grind, rod knock and warping dash. on a 98 you would need to worry about the waterpump but I would think by now all the bad ones have been changed out. There is great potential with a 3L swap.

if you can find one that is in good condition then check it out.
