Been under the cobra the past couple days doing the LT install and we noticed that the short block is VERY clean, especially when compared to the other aluminum parts like the heads and transmission. Is there any way to tell if the short block has been replaced via external ID markings?
One other thing we noticed is that the oil dipstick tube has a sticker on it that looks brand new. Has 4v SN95 and some other writing on it.
Lastly is it possible to drop the oil pan in these cars to inspect the internals? K-member is out of car currently.
