shock travel

just put in new struts and shocks {bilstiens}, noticed that I have @1.5-2" of travel on my struts is that enough ? or am I going to wreck them? thanks!

Yeah that sounds about right because of leverage. The shock only moves very little relative to the wheel.

Is your car lowered?

the cars is lowered and sparky lol, 26.25" from the ground to the bottom of the fender lip, I know shocks only move a small amount but I am at the very end of the shock travel maybe @2.5" before it bottoms out, on my old 5ltr bbk camber/casterplates helped with correcting camber/caster and also werer designed to give you a little more travel for lowered cars, do the newer plates also help with this?,I've only seen pictures and thier always from top view kinda hard to see, I should really have them but so far they been able to align car no prob so I was holding off, but if it helps increase room for shock travel I'd go for it, do they help?
