I just bought a 2003 Cobra(11/2002 build date). It had 16,000 miles on it and still had the silencer,and stock filter. But I am wondering if the original owner put a chip in the car because the stock shift light never has come on, and from what I can find out the only way to get it turned off is witha chip??? Thanks in advance!

maybe you have a missing bulb?
He could have reflashed the PCM or put a chip in it.
You can pull the right kick panel and look at the PCM and find out if there is/was a chip in it.

It can be turned off with a tune as well.
