Wow, this is an improvement. Does this mean the pistons will have more clearance than our 03-04's?

Oh and 8.4:1 compression, plenty of room for big boost.

Cracked I beam forged rods, awesome!! Buh Bye competition!

Yes, 8.4:1 is a nice number for an FI engine. The Terminators ran 8.5:1. But as usual, how much boost it will take depends on the mechanical limits of the internals. I think Andy had some info on that. I personally don't care for turbos on a heavy vehicle, but that's just me. One thing for certain though is you can't beat their efficiency!

On the oil thing, I'm glad to see they went with 5W50. High torque at low rpm is tough on bearings, etc. (Just look at a typical Stribeck diagram and you'll see what I mean. Increasing dynamic viscosity of the lubricating film increases the dimensionless load parameter pushing you away from the boundary and mixed lubrication regimes, which is a good thing! I was shocked about the 5w20 they put in the Terminators! Of course that was just to meet CAFE requirements.)
