I have an 04 Mystichrome that I bought used a while back. Is it normal to have a shakey shifter box? It clunks and moves a bit when shifter gears. I know its not meant to be a smooth shift like the new cars but is this normal? If it makes a diff, I have an MGW short throw. Also, I have noticed that when I start to slow down on my car and I gently step on the brake my engine moves forward with a slight thump. My lingo on this might no be right but you get the idea. Should I worry? I was going to take my car in for an oil change tomorrow but am now thinking of scheduling an appointment to have the stuff checked out.
