I just got new tires today and while the tech had the tire off I was looking at the wheel wells and noticed a ton of grease that was on the rim and all over the boot that is attached to I think its the spine shaft of the rear irs passenger side. The tire guy said that there was no tear in the boot and had no idea why it was coming out.
I called my mech and he said that ford packs the shafts full of grease and since i am running 500 + hp at the wheels its creating heat and the extra grease is coming out. No odd noise or anything. Still makes me nervous.
Any thoughts or no big deal?
