SES light blinking

does anyone know what it means when the SES light blinks...it did it twice on me today....it was a solid light and started blinking for like 5 seconds twice...then it went back to solid...anyone know what it means...i used the search but didn't find a good enough answer...

My previous 5.0 used to do it. It turned out that the blinking is the actual code the computer is giving out. In my case it was the primary SES sensor that was bad.

A blinking SES light usually indicates a misfire.
Get the code read with a handheld or from autozone (free).
Mine was misfiring due to exposed coilpack wires. Pull the covers and inspect the wires for bare spots. It's a common problem.
