Service Engine Soon light came on after running out of gas

I was on my way to get gas but didn't quite make it. The service engine soon light came on a few seconds before the car ran out of gas. I pulled over and walked down the street to get a gas can and some gas. After I started my car back up, the service engine soon light was still on. It runs fine, although I haven't gotten into boost after the light came on. Any suggestions before I take it to the dealer on Saturday? I don't have a code reader.

I've done that a few times to my 01 and 03 Cobra. I disconnect the battery and it never comes back.

Same thing happened to me with the inertia switch. i pushed it to relive some pressure on the line before removing the fuel filter. Started it back up and the celight came on. Let it idle for a while and drove around the block and it turned off.

Very common problem. Just unhook battery like said above.

I disconnected the battery, let it sit for a few minutes, and then started it up again. Light went away and all is good. Thanks SVTP!
