Kenny Brown Performance would like to reintroduce the 99-newer Seat Extenders. These will bolt onto the factory seat base and will allow you to move the seat back an additional 5"!! A must if you are tall and uncomfortable! These are available for $99.00/set. If you would like to order a set, find a local dealer, or have any questions, please call us at 317.247.5320 Ext. 224 or email me at [email protected].

Thanks

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Damn, you got good timing! I emailed KB a couple times in the past in regards to the seat rail extenders and was just about to email you again as I am very close to getting a 01 Cobra. I am posting this message to the forum instead of directly emailing your company because I hope my questions will help others with the same concerns. I'm 6'9", and although the Cobra does have adequate legroom I could use more room. A couple things I have noticed from the numerous test drives in the Cobra are:

1. I have very long arms but I feel that if the seat is moved
back any farther, combined with leaning the back of the seat
rearward, I would not be able to comfortably shift gears, most
noticeably goin into 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Are there any shifters
available, preferably with short-throw geometry, that will
move the shift handle rearward towards the driver? I know
this sounds like an oxymoron, a short-throw long handled
shifter.

2. Not having seen exactly how the rails are installed, do they
replace the original rails or attach to the originals?, is there
any effect upon the seat belt alignment? It seems that the
seat belt anchor on the floor at the lower left side of the
drivers seat would inhibit moving the seat back any more than
the maximum factory movement.

3. HOW EASY ARE THEY TO INSTALL? Is this any easy, exact fit bolt
on?

Please give any information you can. I will initially drive the car with the stock seating configuration for awhile, I can put up with cramped legroom while Im enjoying the newness of the car. I took the 01 Lightning I had for less than 6 hours back to the dealer and told them I wanted a Cobra, the truck was just not what I thought it would be, I just couldn't compromise towards the truck even though it does have a better seating arrangement for my size. But lets face it, its a truck, not a Cobra :)

Hmmm....We have been using the Steeda Tri-ax until PRO 5.0 comes out with the new shifter for the new trannies. We also adapt the stock handle to it to get a little more leverage. I think MGW Ltd. has a handle that kicks back a little further for all of you long arms people!
The seat rails fit under the exisiting seat brackets and relocates the bracket.
Give about 1.5-2 hrs time for both sides.

I have the B&M Ripper, it has two mounting positions, one being rearward, which works out great for my long spider monkey arms...
