My current pair of tires are 315/35/20 Michellin Pilot Sport, but they are a bit too tall and rub slightly, not much problem but I don't like the rubbing at stock height. The rear wheels are Shelby CS1 11".

I tried looking for 315/30/20 on street tires and only track tires by Toyo came up. I was wondering if a 305/30/20 will be to thin. Or should I go with 305/35/20.

Options right now:

305/35/20 Michellin Pilot Sport PS2 220 AA A
305/30/20 Michelling Super Pilot Sport 300 AA A (Currently on @ 315/35/20, very nice traction)

Thanks so much. Good day! :D

Michelin tires in the 315 35 size are basically wider than what they say the sizing is due to the extra width rim protector on the tire. The Ferrari size 295/35/20 will fit without issues.

How do those wheels sit in the wheel well? are they fender flush or tucked a little? If they are tucked, you can always run a small spacer and space them out to fender flush. I thought there were guys here running 315/35-20's MPSS's here with no issues.

good to know. I was considering a 325-30-19 for my widened set of 19x11 front rims. I'll get a 305-35 now.

yes a 305/30 will be too short. I'm running the R888's 315/30 on a 11.5 wheel with no issues/fender flush. 305/35 gives you a good height

With what rims are you guys running the 315s? Telling him you are running them doesn't help unless he knows what rim.

I'm running AVD.1 11" x 20" wheel +58mm offset with the Michelin PSS 315/35 /20 tires. The car is lowered on FRPP M-5300L springs. I did have to remove the sound deadening carpet from the wheelwell and install a Watts Link to keep the tires from rubbing. The PSS tires excessive rim protector that is built into the sidewall increases this tires width to what a 325 would be.

^^^This! C'mon guys...

OP...you said you have the CS1 wheels and the rears are 11inch; the exact wheels I have. Although these wheels will accomodate the Nitto Invo 315/35-20 without any rubbing (the setup I currently have), keep in mind that Nitto tires run quite a bit narrower in size then many other brands, but especially the Michellin Pilots. Therefore if you want to run a Michellin Pilot, you will need to either go to a 305/30-20 or a 305/35-20. My understanding is that the 305/30/20 would be approx. the same diameter is the factory GY tires. With the 315/35-20 Nittos I have on right now, I am slightly taller than factory but it isn't really noticeable.

First, thanks for the replies. The offset is +45.

I will purchase a set of SVTPP and have them widened to 11".

Are you running an adjustable panhard bar?

If you are not, that is your problem. You need to center the rear end.

If you all ready have one, does it just need adjustment (only one wheel is rubbing)?

No, I am not running that item. I will look into it and do the proper adjustment. Thanks

You can run up to 11.5s on the rear if you have a +55 off set. Also, I went with a 305/35/20, wheels are 20/11, on mine since I am lowered and want a little breathing room when the rear drops from hard acceleration.

I think I will change my wheels. Those wheels look awesome on these cars.

Good luck finding a set of original Alcoa Wheels for under $4000.

Then you have to send (2) of the wheels off to be widened, because the widest Alcoa wheel is only 10".

That will cost you another $500-600.

A cheaper route is to purchase a set of Chrome Black Mamba Wheels, but you would still have to have them widened if you want 11" or greater.
