search function

any chance we can get it refined? it won't parse user names. say for instance, i want to search for posts made by myself, and use sid297 as a search term, it tells me the term is too short, too long, or too common. i know other people have complained about searching in general, but this is one i tend to use a lot, especially on long threads.

Certain sub forums act differently than others. I've noticed this with the time stamps. Some sub forums have the correct time and others are as much as 5 hours off.
