I am updating the firmware on my 3015 Xcal and am getting a message prompting me to return my vehicle to stock before I update. I know this may sound stupid but I just want to make sure I'm supposed to reload the stock tune on my car before proceeding. I've heard of people having problems loading a tune from an sct device. The last time I did it things went fine and I just didn't want to risk a problem unnecessarily.

Reload the stock tune, then update it, then reload the custom tune

Word of advice though, SAVE YOUR STOCK TUNE to anywhere you can access it as a backup.

they tell you to return your car to stock incase your tuner freezes up during update...and fromt he horror stories, it wipes your tuner. my tuner froze when i did it, but luckily for me, i unplugged it and plugged it back in and then it started up and started updating. lucky!
