sct x4 using tunes previously used on x3

I sold my x3 awhile back because I was going to sell the car. Never happened so I still have a bunch of tunes on my laptop. Any idea if tunes that I used with my x3 will work with the x4? I would assume so but figured I would ask.

I'm pretty sure they have to have the SCT's serial number written into them. I don't think they'll load into the device otherwise. I'm sure your tuner would do this for no charge though.

Yup, AED confirmed that the tunes are married to the serial number of the tuner. That blows because I have a VMP and AED auto lope tune that I loved.

O well such is life.

Can they not update your tunes to reflect the serial number of a new tuner?

You should be able to contact your tuner and have them rewrite the tunes with the updated serial number for the new device.
