Hey guys, hopin someone could help me out on this. I have an sct bama performance tuner for my 99svt cobra. It had three tunes, street performance and race. A couple of months ago i put the rce tune on before the track, went to the track came home and went to sleep. Tried to put it back to street tune and the tuner read "filesystem error needs to be reloaded" after multiple calls with sct they finally seemed to fix it, well guess not. I tried to return my car to stol this morning and while the device said it was back to stock th car will not run. It turns on for two or three seconds and shuts off. Also it sounds like it is cammed when it is running for those two seconds. Anyone know what the issuse could be, im thinkig sct loaded the wrong file to the device

Any help is greatley appreciated

It probably ran better with the tune in it. Especially with the long tubes. Although without cats it doesn't really matter what tune you're running. You're going to fail.

Do you have MIL eliminators installed and some sort of device in the exhaust that at least looks like cats? If not, you're going to fail on any tune you load.

The stock tune is corrupted. Either stay on the aftermarket tune or do like Mike told you and get it reflashed at the dealer.

With the car not starting like Slo98 stated the stock tune got corrupted at some point. You wouldn't necessarily have to take it back to Ford to have this corrected. If you contact SCT they would be able to get you a stock recovery file to force onto the Cobra. Doing this and a firmware update should take care of the issue. You would need to reload the tunes onto the tuner though after the recovery file is done and the firmware is updated.
