Guys bought a cobra awhile ago, It was tuned with a sct xcal2. However the tuner did not come with the car.

My question is this, I need a tuner for checkin codes, data loggin, and for future tune sessions. Is there a benefit to a xcal 3 over a xcal 2. When i hook it into the car, will it pull the tune thats already in the car? or will it mess that tune up?

I just wanna make sure I dont mess up the tune thats already in the car, since it is a good tune. And i dont have the tune file for it.

My main reason for getting one now is to check codes, as well as some data logging to monitor my iat2 temps. Thanks guys

The SCT will save your tune on it currently as the "stock" tune when you upload a new custom tune. Far as X2 and X3, the X3 is easier to use and does better datalogging but in the end, both will do the same job. If you buy used, just make sure it's UNLOCKED otherwise cost you $150 to get SCT to unlock it.
