I used my buffer today and accidently brushed up against the tailight cover. The buffer scuffed it good. Is there anything I can do to fix it or am I out $40 (about the cost of a Cobra tailight). Thanks!

Not sure which car you're talking about... the '93 Cobra had painted-on stripes and trim, so you'd have to touch-up the stripe or trim paint if you hit that.

But for the plastic itself, you can use a plastic polish... I like Mothers, but whatever you use, get one with some bite given that you say it got scuffed pretty good. I like polishing with the PowerBall Mini on lenses (headlight or taillight... just mask-off anything you don't want polished or product slung-on.

The Mother's plastic polish or some Meg's ScratchX would be worth a try.

I use the Scratch X on plastic headlights/tails that are scratched and it cleans them up nicely most of the time.

Do you mean PlastX? That's their plastic polish.
