I did a stupid thing this summer. While overseas on a mission, my cobra was unknowingly parked near a sprinkler system on base and my car was coated with 3 weeks of hard water deposits. I was able to get the whole thing taken care of with my Porter Cable buffer, but thought I'd take a shortcut on the side view mirrors since they are small and hard to get to with the buffer. I tried wet sanding them with 4000 grit sandpaper and basically scratched the drivers side mirror glass pretty bad. Yes, I know I'm an idiot. Anyway, I want to replace the glass and don't want to buy the whole assembly since they are very expensive and then I'd have to paint them. I did a search and saw that people are buying up all the assemblies they can to resell. I've looked up many manufactorers who sell just the glass, but no one reallizes that 03/04 cobras have a different glass shape than a gt. Anybody know of where to get just the glass? Thanks for any help.
