School me on car alarms/remote start

just picked up a 5 speed 92 k1500. Pretty fun truck.

I’m now in the market for an alarm system, and being that my cars as of late have been new, I’m a bit in the dark.

I’m looking for remote start, a decent alarm w/ a 2 way transmitter and some auxiliary buttons so I can maybe hook it up to the power windows. I’ve been kicking around the idea of having a shop install it also.

There’s also a viper gps module and app for your phone. You can lock and unlock with your phone as well as start and shut it off, track its whereabouts and speed. The annual subscription is $110 I believe.
