Scam or no scam?

I have been looking for a new job for a bit and have sent out multiple resumes to places and got an email last night but just found it today in my spam folder. here is what it said. It says nothing about what company or location so thats what makes think scam... discuss

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated verbal, written and oral capabilities to deal independently skills
- Proven Experience creating and maintaining key accounts based on excellent customer relationships
- Ability to label shipping cartons correctly
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

This is one of those emails where they just want to verify if the email address works or not. Do not reply at all, if you do, thats exactly what they want and if you do reply, they will start to sell your email addresses around and you'll get nothing but 20 spam emails per day or so.

We run blind ads all the time and there are many reasons for doing so. It's not uncommon at all.

A more common reason would be They are on the lookout to fire someone and want to get a jump on the replacement. Do it all the time.

Why would anyone apply for a position at an "unknown" company at an "unknown" location? That should pretty much tell you all you need to know about the "validity" of the supposed job offer.
