Santa came early for me this year. For those who don't know, I ordered my Tork Tech kit last Friday. Will be a few weeks.

In the meantime, need to prepare my trans for the build. I originally ordered the FRPP aluminum flywheel. But, turns out its discontinued for the TR3650 6 bolt. So ordered the Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Should be here tomorrow. Why have it available online if it's discontinued? And didn't notice when buying, but I bought an adjustable clutch cable. Prob going to order up another new cable. Heard the adjustable cables are junk and not to use? Anybody use one? Thought?

Gonna get all this installed this weekend and start breaking it in. Don't want to be breaking in a new clutch on a supercharger drive tune. Also picked up a real nice SCT Livewire from a member here on SVT. Got that Tuesday.

Anyway, still on the way and should be here by Friday. Steering column gauge pod, wideband A/F gauge w/data logging, GM supercharger oil, and new snout to rotor coupler.

Sounds like your build is coming along nicely. I'm waiting on my next check to get my 4.30s, full rilt boogie bushings and subframe connectors installed. My 99 slowbra should feel like a whole different animal.

Yeah, I went all poly when I did my IRS swap last year. 4.30s ought to be a fun gear. I went 3.73s knowing I was eventually going to go F/I. And I went with the Steeda Full Length subframe connectors. Them are nice because they come with the torque box stiffener plates. Highly recommend. Didn't think I would be able to tell a difference after welding them in. Boy was I wrong.

Just make sure you preload your suspension before you weld them in. I jacked my car up and put jack stands under all 4 A-arms. Worked great.

Well, turns out the Granitelli adjustable clutch cable, quadrant, firewall adjuster was wrong. Ordered from Jegs. Their listing said it would fit 79-04 Mustangs.

I started to install. First thing I notice is the installation instructions state that it works on all 1979-2000 Mustangs. Hmmm, mine is an 03. Got factory cable disconnected at trans. Bracket disconnected. Fed up through engine bay. And new cable is about 18" too short. No way this would work.

So I immediately call Jegs. Set up for a return. They connect me to a tech to find the right one tat will work. Only one they offer is a BBK kit that is also an adjustable cable. Nope.

So went to AM and ordered the factory Ford cable, SR double hook quadrant, and SR firewall adjuster.

So, in one hand I'm happy that it didn't work because of it being an adjustable cable and I've heard not to use them. On the other hand, I now have to wait a few more days for my new order to come in.

Got my Fidanza flywheel today so that's a plus. Clutch is going in for sure this weekend. Saweet!!!
