Sanding the Dot-Matrix

I had my old mustang tinted at a shop that wet-sanded my rear window so that the tint would stick to the dot matrix. The tint looked really good in the back, but they didn't sand the front window where the horse is. The tint in the front lifted up and didn't look that nice. I want to take the cobra to a different shop, but I want to wet-sand all the matrix pieces before hand. What grit do you guys recommend for sanding??? Has anybody else sanded theirs?

check with your tint shop first. mine used this clear gel over the dot's so the tint would hold. had it on for over a year now, and have no problem and it looks good. just trying to save some time and work for you. hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Sam.. I'll try to find out about that clear gel.

I might end up using the vinyl instead.
