Saleen hood clearance on 98 Cobra motor>>>

I was looking around for different hoods and I came across one at Mustang Parts Specialists that is their "Saleen Heat Extractor" replica. Well I called the guy to see if it would clear the Cobra motor and he didn't know Anyone have any experience with these hoods and know if it will actually clear?

I have that same hood on my 95 cobra. I dont know if the hood clearance is the same as the 5.0 cobra, but i would assume that your would be the same or maybe even less??? Just a guess. But it fits well on my car and i dont have any clearance problems. Its also an awesome looking hood!!

Well if you notice the difference between the hood on the 94-95 Cobra's and the hoods of the 96-98, that extra "bulge" in the middle of the nostrils was to clear the intake. This was not needed on the 5.0. However, I have dug up some pics that suggest it's fine. I mean on the 96-98 Cobra Saleens they had the heat extractor hood.
