That insert is the only thing that bugs me about the saleen piece. Other than that it's my fave to replace the stocker. Do share what you come up with.

A friend of mine installed the Saleen grille also and he used an exacto knife and cut/trimmed that insert out of the grille. Once he was finished you can't tell that the insert was ever there.
