rusting pulley hub - hood mod problem?

I have the Billetflow interchangable 2.93 pulley. Its been on for about 8 months now. well, I just noticed this weekend that the hub has a few rust specs on it. Anyone else experience this. I do have my hood blanket off and the vent flaps removed but don't really think this is the cause. Morning dew covers every inch of the car in the mornings so maybe thats it. Just don't think the hub should rust.

Since the hub is steel and you are getting moisture to it I could see where it would rust. Keep a bit of 3-n-1 oil on it and it should be fine. You should be able to get the surface rust off with a little never dull .

Good luck:beer:

I wouldn't use oil anywhere near the belt. Just touch it up with some paint.

Just to add to your data set, I have doug's (BilletFlow) hub and even though it is steel, I have no rust.
