I did a search and could not come up with the answer I was looking for. I know this was discussed over a year ago and is being discussed on the NLOC board.

What is the safe shift point for maintaining max. HP and torque? Consider the variables, if one has a a pulley of 4 lbs or greater creating additional heated air to be ingested and an enahnced trans. valve body (Fatory Tech).

Do we really need to spin 5400 to 5600 rpm to make good quatrer mile times and "stay in the power band"? After 4900 rpm my peak HP starts flling fast and torque curve went south after 4000 RPM... I assume this varies from truck to truck.

I have a 4# pulley, chip and a factory tech valve body, my truck shifts at 5500 rpm, in my opinion its shifting at the top of the power band were it should, my truck runs very strong for the mods that ive done to it.

Larry.
