Well here are some pics from my route 66 road trip. drove down to vegas(from nebraska) stayed there two nights then hit the mother road. drove all the way from vegas to oklahoma city (4 day venture). Hopefully will finish the rest to chicago next year. Never had so much fun!!!!!

i would do it as soon as you can, well worth it.still alot of long sections left in certain areas but in very bad shape.drove some of the untouched original hiway from 1926(about 30 miles) you could spend months on it, just looking at all the side attractions, i have hundreds of photos of old stopping posts and gas stations and resturants long gone. very cool

lol, the dice are from my grandpa for a christmas present. and the naked lady(trucker mudflap silhouette) I bought on my way back from a trip to new orleans(in the stang) a couple years back. I take her on one long road trip a year. 97 with 50,000, not bad considering i do a 2 to 3 thousand mile trip each year.

Its interstate 40, and its what put everything out of buisness. All the towns along 66 are almost unpopulated or completely abandon. also much of 66 is torn up because of i40. 66 zig zaged all around and when I40 was built it crossed over alot of 66. so when traveling you do alot of hoping around..... on 66 on i40 and then back on 66.

Ahhhhhhhhh, Looks like the town you stopped at was Radiator Springs aka Cars.
