Today we had a customer bring his truck in for a custom dyno tune. He had All American Ford a local dealership in our area install the Roush TVS package and Kooks Exhaust that he purchased from us along with a mail order tune file. He has been driving this combination for a couple of months and called us recently to setup a dyno session. He was very happy with the way the truck performed but as I always say its better to have it checked and make sure its safe.
Well right off the bat the truck was tested on our mail order tune. It was safe with a conservative air fuel mix in the low 11's but still make over 490 RWHP and 520 TQ to start! After a few small tweaks we to the tune with our SCT software we made another hit and the truck belted out 506 RWHP with 556 lb/ft of Torque!!! We noticed the 47lb injectors were at their max and recommend upgrading to a set of 60lb fuel injectors. The customer is going to wait until next time and possibly add a Super Cobra Jet Throttle body and the Upgraded Roush Heat exchanger.
