Traditional padding won't work in his car. The seats are too tight against the cage. I have a feeling I'm going to have to custom make something that's thin enough to fit.

Well, Greg will most likely chime in. But I do know that there are a few ATV/UTV suppliers that have custom padding and covers out there. Also, in the building industry, my HVAC guys that have to insulate their pipes also have to wrap them. They use the closed cell foam with a fabric cover and velcro closure. Check your local duct supply house. If they don't have it, they can get it. The rubber part is by Armaflex.
